Dodge Caravan is a representative of a minivan family manufactured by Dodge . It has lasted five generations of vehicles, and 2016 will be the final year the luxury minivan will be produced, as stated by representatives of the manufacturer. Dodge Caravan was a first of a kind among minivans, and it set the standard for such similar vehicles as Plymouth Voyager, Chrysler Voyager, Chrysler Town and Country, Chrysler Grand Voyager, Lancia Voyager and Volkswagen Routan.

Chrysler Town & Country is a passenger minivan of a luxury class, manufactured by Chrysler. The vehicle was introduced in 1989 and now it counts five generations of releases. The sixth generation of Town & Country will be revealed by Chrysler officials at the Detroit Road Show in 2016. The rumors are that vans of sixth-gen will be completely redesigned in the exterior styling and will feature a brand new platform. Town & Country gained popularity for its innovative seating configuration that includes two integrated child booster seats,  Stow ‘n Go system (the second and third row seating can be tucked into the underfloor) and Swivel’n Go  system (the two second row seats revolve to face the third row seats.)

Dodge Caravan 2015 has a more rectangular look to its exterior. On the other hand, Chrysler Town & Country has a more rounded look. The signature grill of Chrysler adds to the rounded look of the vehicle.

Interior

As far as the interior of the minivan is concerned, Dodge Caravan 2015 features less technology and equipment compared to Chrysler Town and Country.

Standard options

Chrysler Town & Country 2015 has standard options that are not included in Dodge Caravan 2015. These  include leather upholstery, three zone climate control, back-up camera, power lift gate and power doors, among others.

In the United States, the starting price for Dodge Caravan 20015 is US$21 000. On the other hand, Chrysler Town & Country is offered with a starting price of US$27 000.  If you do not need all the standard options of Chrysler Town & Country described above, you can save around US$6 000 for pretty much the same minivan.
