Difference between Stainless Steel and Surgical Steel

Many people don’t understand the difference between stainless steel and surgical steel. They believe that one is used for cooking and other durable products, while surgical steel is used only in surgery, for piercings, and for other medical purposes.

The truth of the matter is that there is no difference. Surgical steel is stainless steel. The only difference is in the viewing of the terms. There is no solid definition for surgical steel because it does not technically exist. It is a term that is generally used as a marketing tool for health related products.
